The Tunisian Football Federation (FTF) will undergo a major restructure, as the Bureau of the FIFA Council has appointed a normalization committee for the organization.
This decision was made in accordance with Article 8, Paragraph 2 of the FIFA Statutes, and aims to address crises within the FTF and stabilize their operations.
To ensure a thorough and effective process, consultations were held with the Confederation of African Football (CAF).
The primary goal of this decision is to equip the FTF with the necessary tools to emerge from their current crisis.
This includes a complete revision of their statutes and electoral code, as well as holding elections under a new statutory framework.
The mandate of the normalization committee will end once all tasks have been completed, but no later than January 31, 2025.
During this transitional period, the normalization committee will act as the executive body of the FTF.
Their main responsibility will be to ensure that the association operates smoothly and efficiently.
This move by FIFA highlights their dedication to upholding the integrity and proper functioning of football associations globally by ensuring they comply with international standards and regulations.
