FIFA has officially announced that ticket applications for the 2026 FIFA World Cup will open on Wednesday, September 10.
Fans hoping to attend the tournament will be required to register and create a FIFA ID via the official website, FIFA.com/tickets, in order to participate in the ticket draw.
The 2026 World Cup, set to take place across Canada, Mexico, and the United States, is expected to experience unprecedented demand, especially after the success of the recent FIFA Club World Cup hosted in the US.
“We’re looking forward to welcoming the world back to North America, as Canada, Mexico and the United States host what will be the biggest and greatest sporting event ever,” said FIFA President Gianni Infantino.
“We encourage fans everywhere to get ready to secure their place – these will be the most coveted seats in world sport.”
FIFA also revealed that the ticket sales will be conducted in multiple phases, with each phase offering varying purchasing procedures, payment options, and ticket categories.
Further details for each stage will be published on a monthly basis.
The final tournament draw is scheduled for December 2025, when participating teams will be assigned to fixtures, venues, and kick-off times.
The competition will kick off on Thursday, June 11, in Mexico City, and conclude with the final on Sunday, July 19, in New York/New Jersey.
