Ferland Mendy hit a major milestone with Real Madrid, making his 200th appearance in the club’s Champions League round of 16 clash against Atlético Madrid.
However, his night ended in frustration as he was forced off in the 83rd minute due to injury.
Now in his sixth season with Los Blancos, Mendy has lifted 13 trophies, including La Liga, the Champions League, and the Copa del Rey. Since making his debut on September 1, 2019, against Villarreal, he has featured in 136 victories across all competitions.
His 200 appearances break down into 128 La Liga matches, 53 in the Champions League, six in the Copa del Rey, 11 in the Spanish Super Cup, and two in the European Super Cup.
The French left-back is now sidelined with another muscle injury, ruling him out of the upcoming La Liga fixture against Villarreal, according to Marca. This is his third such setback of the season, having previously missed games in September and December.
