Ferjani Sassi on the Verge of Move to Anderlecht?
As has been circulating for several weeks, Ferjani Sassi, the talented Club Sportif Sfaxien midfielder, could soon be leaving the Tunisian league for a European adventure—specifically, Belgium’s Sporting d’Anderlecht.
According to Tunisian media reports, emissaries from the Belgian giants are expected to be in Tunis this Sunday to scout the 22-year-old international during a high-stakes match between CS Sfaxien and Espérance Tunis. Following the game, a meeting is planned involving Sfaxien officials, their Anderlecht counterparts, and Sassi himself, to finalize discussions on the potential transfer.
Negotiations are said to be well advanced, with both clubs reportedly close to an agreement on most of the key aspects of the deal.
Sassi, known for his composure, passing range, and intelligence in midfield, has also caught the attention of other scouts. There are rumors that Anderlecht may also be monitoring Ibrahima Ndong, another standout performer from the Sfaxien squad.
A move to Anderlecht would represent a significant step forward in Sassi’s career, offering him a platform in Europe’s competitive leagues and possibly continental competition with one of Belgium’s most historic clubs.
