Fenerbahçe have reportedly made a serious move in their pursuit of Borussia Dortmund forward Serhou Guirassy, with ongoing discussions suggesting a potential transfer to Istanbul remains on the table.

According to Turkish sources, talks are continuing between the parties as Fenerbahçe explore the possibility of bringing the prolific striker to the Turkish Super Lig. Club presidential candidate Aziz Yıldırım is said to be particularly interested in securing Guirassy’s signature as part of a broader squad-strengthening plan.

Guirassy, who has attracted attention across Europe following his performances in the Bundesliga, is reportedly open to a move under the right conditions, keeping the negotiations alive despite the complexity of the deal.

Borussia Dortmund are understood to be standing firm on their valuation, with reports indicating that the German club are demanding at least €40 million for the striker. However, Fenerbahçe are said to have pushed back against figures in the region of €42 million, creating a gap that still needs to be bridged.

The Bundesliga side remain in a strong negotiating position, as Guirassy is under contract until 2028, and his release clause reportedly does not apply to a move to Turkey. While Dortmund sporting director Ole Book has not completely ruled out a sale, he has also made it clear the club would prefer to retain the forward unless an exceptional offer is presented.

Despite the ongoing standoff, an agreement has not been ruled out, with both sides still engaged in discussions over a potential compromise.

At the same time, Fenerbahçe are also exploring alternative attacking options, with RCD Mallorca striker Vedat Muriqi emerging as another target as the Turkish giants consider ways to reinforce their frontline ahead of the new season.
