Fenerbahce consider Nice defender Kojo Peprah Oppong in Turkish transfer move

Ghanaian centre-back Kojo Peprah Oppong is the subject of a reported move from Nice to Fenerbahce, with the Turkish club linked with a transfer to the Super Lig.

Oppong, 22, joined Nice from Swedish side Norrkoping in July 2025 for €2.68m and is currently valued at €10m. The defender has yet to make a Ligue 1 appearance this season, while he has featured twice for Ghana at the 2026 World Cup.

The reported interest comes with Oppong under contract at Nice until 30 June 2029. There is no indication that a transfer has been agreed, but the proposed move has been given an 82% probability.

Oppong began his senior career with Norrkoping after leaving the De Visser Academy in February 2023. He spent periods on loan at GIF Sundsvall before returning to Norrkoping, where his performances led to the move to France.

At Nice, he has been registered as a centre-back and wears the club’s number 37 shirt. He has not featured in the club’s league campaign so far this season, while his international involvement includes two World Cup appearances.

The potential switch would take Oppong from Ligue 1 to Turkey’s top flight, with Fenerbahce identified as the club pursuing his signature. His long-term Nice contract remains in place as the rumour develops.
