Felix Uduokhai: Union Berlin weigh move for Besiktas centre-back

Germany-Nigeria defender Felix Uduokhai is the subject of a reported move from Besiktas to Union Berlin, with the Bundesliga club linked with a potential deal for the 28-year-old centre-back.

Uduokhai joined Besiktas permanently from Augsburg in July 2025 after previously spending the 2024-25 season at the Turkish club on loan. Besiktas paid €5m for the defender, who had a market value of €7m at the time of the transfer.

The left-footed defender has not featured for Besiktas so far this season, making no appearances in either the Turkish Super Lig or Europa League qualifying. His current market value is listed at €3.5m.

Uduokhai remains under contract with Besiktas until 30 June 2027, meaning Union Berlin would need to negotiate a transfer rather than wait for the player to become available as a free agent. The rumoured move would represent a return to the Bundesliga for a player who previously spent four seasons with Augsburg and three with Wolfsburg.

Born in Annaberg-Buchholz, Uduokhai began his senior career with Munich-based 1860 Munich before moving to Wolfsburg in 2017. He later joined Augsburg permanently in 2020 and moved to Besiktas after his loan spell in Turkey.

No transfer fee or agreement has been reported, and the move remains at the rumour stage.
