Felix Uduokhai: Germany-Nigeria defender linked with Schalke 04 move from Besiktas
Germany-Nigeria centre-back Felix Uduokhai of Besiktas is being strongly linked with a move to Bundesliga side FC Schalke 04, with the chances of a deal currently rated at 75%.
The 28-year-old, who joined Besiktas on a permanent deal from Augsburg in July 2025 after an initial loan spell, is under contract in Istanbul until June 2027. Schalke are understood to be exploring a transfer for the left-footed defender as they look to reinforce their back line ahead of the new Bundesliga campaign.
Uduokhai has established himself in Turkeys top flight, making more than 40 Super Lig appearances for Besiktas and clocking over 3,000 league minutes. His consistency at the heart of defence has sustained interest from Germany, where he previously built his reputation across 150 Bundesliga games and over 11,000 minutes for Wolfsburg and Augsburg.
Any move is likely to be shaped by Besiktas valuation, with Uduokhai currently priced at around 3.5 million. The Turkish club paid 5m to sign him permanently in 2025 after a loan that began in August 2024, and their willingness to negotiate will be central to Schalkes hopes of completing a deal.
Uduokhai, born in Annaberg-Buchholz and standing at 1.93m, also has experience in European competition, including Europa League and qualifying appearances. For now he remains a Besiktas player, with one year of his Istanbul spell completed and another season and a half left on his current contract.
