It appears that John Begheni Ndeh, the former president of the Cameroonian football federation (Fecafoot), has successfully resumed his duties. Accompanied by a lieutenant-colonel of the gendarmerie and a group of lawyers, Begheni faced no resistance and was welcomed back to Fecafoot.
However, there was a minor hiccup when Begheni attempted to enter his office, as the door lock had been changed. In the morning, Begheni and certain members of the new Fecafoot office were reportedly summoned to the State Secretariat for Defense. Tombi A Roko and Seïdou Mbombo Njoya, members of the new office, were asked to recognize that John Begheni Ndeh is the new leader of Fecafoot.
Despite Begheni’s return, it’s noted that the crisis within Fecafoot may not be resolved entirely. The deposed office plans to appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sports (CAS), indicating that there might be further legal proceedings and challenges in the ongoing situation.
