Sevilla Midfielder Stéphane M’Bia Sidelined with Thigh Injury
Sevilla FC has suffered a significant setback as Stéphane M’Bia is set to miss action for two to three weeks due to a thigh injury sustained during Saturday’s league match against Getafe. The Cameroonian international was forced off the field after just 15 minutes of play.
The injury is particularly concerning as it is similar to the one that hampered his preparation for the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), where M’Bia represented Cameroon. Unfortunately, the Indomitable Lions were eliminated in the group stage, following a defeat in their final match against eventual champions Côte d’Ivoire.
Sevilla’s injury woes continue to mount, with Beto, Coke, and Iago Aspas already on the sidelines. M’Bia’s absence will be deeply felt as the club navigates a crucial stretch in both La Liga and European competition.
