Speaking to the Record newspaper, Otamendi stated, “My mind is at FC Porto, continuing to play here. I want to do my job in the best possible way to continue playing and to be able to dream of a call-up for the 2014 World Cup.”
Acknowledging the persistent rumors surrounding his future, the 25-year-old Argentine international emphasized his happiness that people speak positively about him, indicating that he is performing well. Otamendi, who has made 12 league starts this season, added, “If an opportunity presents itself, I will be ready. Otherwise, I will continue to help FC Porto.”
However, with his contract expiring next June, the question remains whether FC Porto might consider selling him during the upcoming winter transfer window.
