FC Nantes weigh move for Standard Liege striker Timothe Nkada

French-Cameroonian forward Timothe Nkada is being linked with a move from Standard Liege to FC Nantes, with the Ligue 2 club named as a potential destination for the 27-year-old.

Nkada joined Standard from Rodez AF on 7 August 2025 in a deal worth €1.8m. He is valued at €2m and remains under contract with the Belgian club until 30 June 2028, meaning any transfer would require an agreement between the two sides rather than a free move.

The centre-forward has made one appearance for Standard in the 2026-27 Jupiler Pro League campaign, featuring for seven minutes as a substitute. He has not scored or provided an assist in that outing and has not started a league match this season.

The proposed move would see Nkada return to France, where he was born in Lille and began his senior career with Rennes before later spells involving Stade Reims, Aalborg BK, US Orleans, FC Koper and Rodez. His most recent permanent transfer came when Standard signed him from Rodez last summer.

There is no indication that a transfer has been completed, and the link remains a rumour. Nkada’s immediate status is unchanged: he is a Standard Liege player with two years remaining on his contract.
