Metz Missing Key Players Ahead of Reims Clash
FC Metz will be without several key players for their Ligue 1 Matchday 7 encounter against Stade de Reims this Saturday. Midfielder Yeni Ngbakoto is suspended following a red card in the previous match against Guingamp, ruling him out of the weekend fixture.
Ngbakoto’s absence is a blow for Metz, who will also have to contend with a number of injury setbacks. Goalkeeper Johann Carrasso is sidelined with a right quadriceps injury, while midfielder Romain Rocchi is nursing an ankle problem. Striker Kwame N’Sor remains unavailable due to a right knee injury.
Despite these absences, Metz coach Albert Cartier has named an 18-man squad for the trip to Reims. The group includes veterans such as Florent Malouda and Modibo Maïga, alongside promising young players and regular starters.
Metz squad to face Reims:
Mfa, Oberhauser – Bussmann, Choplin, Marchal, Milan, Métanire, Palomino – Doukouré, Kashi, Krivets, Lejeune, Malouda, N’Daw, Sarr – Andrada, Falcon, Maïga.
Metz will be aiming to bounce back and collect valuable points on the road, despite the absence of several influential figures.
