FC Masar thrash FUS Rabat to claim first victory in CAF Women’s Champions League
Egyptian side FC Masar produced an impressive performance to secure a convincing 3-0 victory over Morocco’s FUS Rabat in the CAF Women’s Champions League on Wednesday, November 4, 2026.
The encounter, played at the Suez Canal Stadium in Ismailia, was part of Matchday Two of Group A, with FC Masar delivering a commanding display to claim their first win of the competition.
FC Masar made a bright start and took the lead in the 15th minute through Jentrix Shikangwa, who finished off an attacking move to put the Egyptian side in front.
The early breakthrough gave FC Masar confidence as they maintained their advantage until the half-time break, leaving FUS Rabat with work to do in the second half.
The Moroccan outfit returned from the interval hoping to find a way back into the contest, but FC Masar remained disciplined and continued to threaten going forward.
Their persistence paid off in the 79th minute when Shikangwa struck again to double the advantage and complete her brace, putting her side in a commanding position.
FC Masar were not finished, however, as Aissatou Chris Ba added a third goal in the 87th minute to put the result beyond doubt and cap an impressive team performance.
The emphatic victory takes FC Masar to four points after two matches, moving the Egyptian outfit to the top of Group A following their opening-day draw.
For FUS Rabat, the defeat represents a disappointing setback after failing to build on their first-match result. The Moroccan side must now regroup and deliver a strong performance in their final group fixture to keep their hopes of reaching the knockout stage alive.
With FC Masar gaining momentum from their first victory, the Egyptian side will be looking to maintain their impressive start as the group-stage battle intensifies.
