FC Kufstein sign France and Ivory Coast winger Maysson Meite on free transfer

France and Ivory Coast winger Maysson Meite has joined Austrian club FC Kufstein from Bischofshofen on a free transfer, completing the move on 11 September 2026.

The 19-year-old left winger moves to Kufstein after beginning the 2026-27 season with Bischofshofen. His new club competes in Austria’s Regionalliga West.

Meite has made two appearances in the OFB-Cup this season, scoring once. He started both matches and played 95% of the available minutes, while recording no assists and receiving no yellow or red cards.

The forward’s move to Kufstein follows a short spell at Bischofshofen, which he joined from Sarcelles U19 on 1 July 2026. That transfer was also completed without a fee.

Before moving to Austria, Meite spent the 2025-26 season with Sarcelles after leaving Saint-Etienne U19 on a free transfer in July 2025. He had progressed to Saint-Etienne’s under-19 side from the club’s under-17 team the previous year.

Born in Saint-Cloud, France, Meite is listed with both French and Ivorian nationality. He stands 1.80m tall and is recorded as being comfortable using either foot.

His record in the OFB-Cup includes 199 minutes and one goal across his two appearances. The move gives Kufstein a new left-sided attacking player with recent competitive experience in Austrian football.

Meite’s free transfer to FC Kufstein was completed on 11 September 2026.
