FC Fleury 91 bring in Algerian-French midfielder Cyril Khetir from Beerschot
Algerian-French midfielder Cyril Khetir has joined FC Fleury 91 from Belgian club Beerschot VA, completing a move to the French side on 4 August 2026.
Khetir, 25, plays in central midfield and returns to France after a year with Beerschot, who compete in Belgium’s Challenger Pro League. He made six appearances in the competition, playing 146 minutes, during his time with the club.
The Marseille-born player began his senior career with Marseille B before spells with Lyon La Duchere and Louhans-Cuiseaux. He moved to Aubagne in July 2023 and subsequently joined Aubagne Air Bel, from whom he switched to Beerschot on a free transfer in July 2025.
Khetir has now moved on after one season in Belgium and becomes part of FC Fleury 91’s squad in Ligue 3. The club’s latest signing has also played in France’s National divisions, recording 56 appearances, three goals and two assists in National 1 Group C, as well as 27 appearances, three goals and three assists in Ligue 3.
His record also includes 10 Coupe de France appearances, with one assist, alongside earlier experience in France’s National 2 and National 3 competitions. Khetir was part of a French fourth-tier championship-winning side during his career.
The right-footed midfielder stands 1.80m tall and holds both Algerian and French nationality. His career has included football in France and Belgium, with FC Fleury 91 now his latest club.
Khetir’s arrival gives Fleury an experienced central-midfield option with previous exposure to the French league system and the Belgian second tier.
The transfer was completed on 4 August 2026, with Khetir leaving Beerschot VA for FC Fleury 91.
