FC Dallas have bolstered their midfield options with the acquisition of Angola international Manuel ‘Show’ Cafumana on a one-year loan from Maccabi Haifa, with an option to purchase.
At 25, Show brings a wealth of experience from various European leagues and international competitions, making him a valuable addition to the Dallas roster as they push for success in the 2024 MLS season.
Show’s career began at the prestigious Clube Desportivo Primeiro de Agosto youth academy in Angola, where he debuted professionally at just 17 years old.
His early years in football were marked by success, winning three Girabola championships, an Angola Cup, and a Super Cup with Primeiro de Agosto.
His talent caught the attention of European scouts, leading to a five-year contract with French Ligue 1 side LOSC Lille in 2019.
Although he never made an appearance for Lille, Show gained crucial experience on loan in the Portuguese Liga with Belenenses SAD and Boavista, playing alongside Dallas academy alum Reggie Cannon.
His European journey continued in Bulgaria with Ludogorets Razgrad, where he won multiple titles before moving to Maccabi Haifa in Israel.
As an Angolan national team regular, Show has represented his country 31 times and is currently vying for a spot in the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
