Jupp Heynckes, the former Bayern Munich coach, has offered his recommendation to FC Barcelona regarding their search for a replacement for Victor Valdés. In an interview with the newspaper El Mundo Deportivo, Heynckes suggested that Barcelona should consider signing Marc-André ter Stegen, the talented goalkeeper currently playing for Borussia Mönchengladbach.
Heynckes believes that ter Stegen is more than capable of filling the void left by Valdés, highlighting the young goalkeeper’s maturity and readiness for such a significant role at just 21 years of age. He sees ter Stegen as a promising option for Barcelona’s goalkeeping position and suggests that the club should seriously consider bringing him in as Valdés’ successor.
