Faride Alidou has completed a permanent transfer to FC Kaiserslautern, marking a significant move in his career.
The German second division side secured the 23-year-old offensive player after Eintracht Frankfurt terminated his loan to Hellas Verona, which had been set to run through the season.
According to Sky, Frankfurt retained a buyback option as part of the deal, although the specifics of the transfer fee remain undisclosed. Alidou’s stint with Verona was brief, featuring just three appearances, with his last match coming in October. He previously spent the 2022/23 season on loan at FC Köln.
Born in Germany to Togolese parents, Alidou’s footballing journey has been marked by his international prospects. In November 2021, he earned his first call-up to the Germany U20 national team, featuring in matches against France and Portugal.
Kaiserslautern will be eager to tap into Alidou’s attacking prowess as they aim to strengthen their campaign. Meanwhile, the player looks forward to revitalizing his career after limited opportunities in Italy’s top flight.
