Farès Ghedjemis: Lazio eye move for Frosinone’s Franco‑Algerian winger

Algeria and France‑eligible right winger Farès Ghedjemis of Serie B side Frosinone is being linked with a summer move to Lazio.

The 23-year-old, who wears the No 7 shirt for Frosinone, is attracting interest from the Rome club as they assess attacking options ahead of next season’s Serie A campaign. The move remains at rumour stage, with the probability of a deal currently listed as “?” and no agreement reported between the clubs.

Ghedjemis, valued at €7.50m on Transfermarkt, has emerged as one of Frosinone’s most intriguing attacking assets. A left-footed right winger standing 1.83m tall, he offers a combination of height, dribbling ability and inverted-winger threat that would fit Lazio’s preference for wide forwards capable of cutting inside.

Born on 6 September 2002 in Montreuil, Ghedjemis holds both Algerian and French nationality. He is listed primarily as an attacking right winger, though his profile suggests he can operate across the front line.

Frosinone, currently in Serie B, face the prospect of losing the player without a fee at some point, with his contract situation unclear and no fixed expiry date publicly recorded. That uncertainty has fuelled talk that Lazio could try to exploit the situation, either by negotiating a reduced fee now or monitoring him closely in case he edges towards free-agent status.

In his most recent outing for Frosinone – a Serie B fixture earlier this month against an unnamed opponent – Ghedjemis featured on the right flank in a narrow contest, part of a run of games that has underlined his growing importance to the side.

If a move to Lazio does materialise, it would represent a rapid step up from Serie B and could prove pivotal in shaping Ghedjemis’s reputation, offering him a first sustained platform in Serie A to turn potential into top-flight pedigree.
