Fares Ghedjemis has been recalled to the Algeria squad for the forthcoming double-header against Togo in the CAN 2027 qualifiers.
The 24-year-old Frosinone forward was named by manager Brahim Hemdani for the third and fourth-round matches, returning to the national team after missing the previous international gathering.
Ghedjemis’ agent, Sofiane Mahieddine, welcomed the decision in an interview with Maghreb-Foot, describing the selection as a deserved reward for his player’s progress.
The winger was left out of the last squad after a disrupted pre-season and limited competitive playing time. His situation was also affected by the failure of a proposed move to another club.
Since then, Ghedjemis has re-established himself at Frosinone and produced a series of notable performances. He provided three assists against Atalanta before scoring his first goal of the season in the match against Torino.
Those displays have helped secure his return to the Algeria setup, where he will now compete for a role in the matches against Togo.
Ghedjemis is contracted to Frosinone until 30 June 2030. His current market value is estimated at 12 million euros.
Before joining up with Algeria, he is expected to feature for Frosinone in their 11th match of the Italian league season against Cagliari.
