FAR Rabat and Ittihad Tangier could not be separated as they battled to a 1-1 draw in their Moroccan Professional League encounter at the Olympic Stadium in Rabat.

The game, originally postponed from the third round, delivered excitement from the very first whistle.

The visitors stunned the home fans when Haitham Al-Bahja found the net in the second minute, capitalizing on a defensive slip by the Rabat backline. The early strike put Ittihad Tangier in control, giving them confidence to press forward and frustrate their opponents.

After regrouping at halftime, FAR Rabat came back determined. Their persistence paid off in the 55th minute when Mohamed Rabie Hrimat calmly slotted home the equalizer for the “Army of the Army,” bringing relief to the supporters who had been urging their team on.

The result leaves FAR Rabat in fifth place on five points, level with Club Meknes and Olympique d’Asfi. Ittihad Tangier move to ninth with three points. Next, FAR Rabat face Olympic Club de Safi on October 5, while Tangier prepare for FUS Rabat on October 4.
