Pyramids FC administrative manager, Ahmed Zaher is hoping that his outfit quarterfinal clash against FAR Rabat in the CAF Champions League would be the gateway to the finals this season.
The Egyptian outfit had triumphed over the Moroccan giants in the same round last season, propelling the team their first Champions League success.
Having being paired for the second time running in the same round, Ahmed Zaher is hoping their clash against FAR Rabat would be the gateway to the finals.
“We are playing a tough match against a respectable team like FAR Rabat and we hope it will be like last year and be our path to the final.” He told beIN SPORTS:
“This edition is tough, and all the qualified teams can win the title. Pyramids FC is keeping most of its core players, in addition to making reinforcements to benefit the team.
The first leg of the quarterfinal has been scheduled for the weekend of March 13-15, 2026, with the reverse fixture slated for March 20-22, 2026.
These clashes mark the start of the knockout journey toward the May final, with all eight remaining clubs dreaming of continental glory.
The winner of the match between FAR Rabat and Pyramids will battle it out with the winner of RS Berkane and Al-Hilal in the semifinals.
With tight scheduling across domestic and continental calendars, managing squad rotation, travel and pressure will be crucial over these two legs.
Fans across Africa can now circle mid-March on their calendars as the continent’s premier club competition enters its most dramatic phase yet.
