Coaching Shake-Up in Tunisia: Faouzi Benzarti Set to Join Raja Casablanca After Season
Tunisia’s coaching carousel continues to spin as Faouzi Benzarti, head coach of Etoile Sportive du Sahel (ESS), has confirmed that he will leave the club to join Moroccan giants Raja Casablanca. Benzarti, a highly respected coach with previous stints at Club Africain and other top clubs, revealed that there have been discussions between him and Raja Casablanca regarding a takeover starting in July.
Despite the confirmed interest from the Moroccan side, Benzarti was clear that he would not be leaving ESS mid-season. “I will not leave Etoile Sportive du Sahel during the current season,” he stated, ensuring that his focus remains on leading the Tunisian club for the remainder of the campaign.
The move marks another significant shift in the North African football coaching scene, with both Tunisian and Moroccan clubs continuing to strengthen their managerial ranks. Benzarti’s departure will surely leave a void at ESS, but his upcoming role at Raja Casablanca promises to be a new chapter in his distinguished coaching career.
