Fallou Ndiaye: Senegal centre-back linked with Kerala Blasters move in India

Fallou Ndiaye has completed a move from Finnish side SJK Seinäjoki to Indian Super League club Kerala Blasters, sealing a permanent transfer that takes the Senegalese centre-back to India. The deal was finalised on 2026-03-04, with Ndiaye leaving SJK for the Kochi-based outfit. His contract with Kerala Blasters runs from 2026-03-04 to 2028-05-31.

The switch ends Ndiaye’s spell in the Veikkausliiga and introduces him to a new challenge in the Indian Super League. While the official fee has not been disclosed and is listed as “?”, his most recent market valuation stands at €25k, reflecting a significant drop from earlier peaks in his career. The move therefore comes at a time when his value on the transfer market has been trending downward, yet Kerala Blasters have opted to invest in his profile and physical attributes.

Ndiaye, a 1.98m right-footed centre-back, arrives in India at 24 years of age with experience across multiple European leagues. Before joining SJK Seinäjoki, he represented FC Haka in Finland, Athlétic Club Arlésien in France and Jong KAA Gent in Belgium, having started his senior career at AS des Douanes in Senegal. This path has given him exposure to differing tactical environments: from Belgian development football to the French lower tiers and then the Finnish top flight.

His market value history underlines the fluctuating nature of his career. At FC Haka, his value climbed as high as €150k in 2023, then further to €250k at SJK in late 2024, before falling sharply through 2025 and into late 2025, when it reached €25k. That downturn coincided with his final months in Finland and made a transfer — or the possibility of running down his deal and becoming a free agent — a realistic next step. Kerala Blasters have now acted before that scenario materialised, tying him to a fixed-term contract until 2028-05-31.

For Kerala Blasters, Ndiaye’s arrival adds height and defensive depth to a squad competing in India’s top division. For the player, the move extends a career spent entirely abroad since leaving Senegal, taking him from European football to the rapidly developing Indian Super League. It places him in a new football culture far from his birthplace of Leona Thiaroye, but continues the pattern of playing outside his home country rather than in the Senegalese domestic scene.

The transfer also closes the chapter on his time in the Veikkausliiga, where his performances for FC Haka and SJK Seinäjoki once pushed his value into the €200k–€250k range. Now, with a long-term deal in India and a reduced market valuation, Ndiaye enters a phase that could either stabilise his career or relaunch it if he adapts quickly to the ISL’s demands. His next seasons with Kerala Blasters will determine whether this move becomes a springboard back toward his former market heights or a long-term anchoring in Asian football.
