Fallou Diagne, the Senegalese defender, expressed his frustration at not being able to secure a move to Borussia Dortmund at the start of the transfer window. Although Diagne visited Dortmund’s facilities, Fribourg, the club to which he is contracted, rejected the transfer.
Diagne shared his disappointment, stating that he understood from his managers that Fribourg was not considering letting him leave during the off-season. Despite the frustration, he remains focused and committed to continuing his hard work.
Having made 29 starts last season, Diagne had a successful year, but Fribourg appears determined to retain the 23-year-old talent. In light of the transfer setback, Diagne has set new goals for the upcoming season, including aspiring to join the Senegal national team. He emphasized his commitment, stating that when he becomes a part of the national team, it will be with the intention of staying and contributing consistently.
