Faik Sakar ruled out of Augsburg’s Werder Bremen match
FC Augsburg midfielder Faik Sakar will miss Saturday’s Bundesliga match against Werder Bremen as he continues to recover from ankle problems.
The 18-year-old remains unavailable for selection and will not be included in Augsburg’s squad for the fixture.
Head coach Manuel Baum confirmed that there will be no significant changes to his group from the team that faced Bayer Leverkusen last weekend. Sakar remains among several players currently unavailable through injury or fitness concerns.
The teenager’s absence is another frustrating setback as he works to return to full training. Augsburg have not set a date for his comeback, and it remains unclear when he will be ready to rejoin the squad.
Sakar will therefore continue his rehabilitation under the supervision of the club’s medical staff. The priority will be resolving the ankle issue completely before he is exposed to the demands of competitive training and Bundesliga football.
Augsburg will be hoping to have the young midfielder back as soon as possible, but Baum’s update suggests there will be no rushed decision. For now, Sakar must focus on recovery while his teammates prepare for the trip to face Bremen.
His next opportunity to return will depend on his response to treatment during the coming days.
