Côte d’Ivoire head coach Émerse Faé has unveiled a 23-man squad for the final two rounds of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers, with crucial fixtures against Seychelles and Kenya set to determine the Elephants’ fate.
The Ivorians currently lead Group F with 20 points, holding a narrow one-point advantage over second-placed Gabon.
With only the group winners assured of automatic qualification, Faé’s men must secure maximum points from the October double-header to book their place at the global showpiece.
The Elephants travel to face Seychelles on October 10 before hosting Kenya at the Stade Olympique Alassane Ouattara in Abidjan on October 14.
Anything short of two victories would leave qualification hopes at risk, with Gabon poised to capitalise.
Côte d’Ivoire come into these games on the back of mixed results in September’s qualifiers.
They claimed a vital 1-0 win over Burundi on September 5 but were held to a goalless draw by Gabon four days later.
The side has, however, already booked its ticket to the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, where they will compete in December against Mozambique, Cameroon, and Gabon.
Faé’s squad blends experienced names with emerging talents.
Seasoned figures such as Franck Kessié, Seko Fofana, and Nicolas Pépé are included.
Sebastien Haller and Simon Adingra add firepower in attack, while Evan Ndicka, Odilon Kossounou, and Wilfried Singo reinforce the defence.
