World-renowned football journalist and transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano has featured in the unveiling of three new kits for Manqoba Mngqithi’s Young Africans SC, with the Tanzanian club presenting its home, away and third shirts.
The launch gives Young Africans SC a prominent platform beyond Tanzania, with the club using Romano’s international profile as part of the presentation of its latest playing collection.
All three jerseys have been produced by the club’s kit sponsor, GSM. The designs retain clear links to Young Africans SC’s established colours while offering a different visual identity for each of the three shirts.
The home kit remains rooted in the club’s traditional green. It also includes distinctive yellow and blue details, adding contrast to the main colour without moving away from the familiar appearance associated with Young Africans SC.
The away shirt takes a markedly different approach. It is dominated by a golden-yellow colour and includes brown details around the collar, the club badge and the sponsor’s logo on the front of the jersey.
The away design was modelled by Peter Shalulile during the unveiling. His appearance provided the first look at the golden-yellow shirt, including the placement of the brown accents across the collar, badge and front-of-shirt sponsorship area.
Young Africans SC’s third kit offers the most striking departure from the home shirt. It is based on a black design, with gold details adding contrast to the darker overall look.
Together, the three jerseys provide Young Africans SC with separate designs for home, away and third-kit use. The home shirt preserves the club’s green identity, while the other two designs introduce golden-yellow and black as their dominant colours.
The launch also underlines the club’s attempt to extend its reach beyond its domestic setting. By involving Fabrizio Romano, a prominent Italian journalist known around the world for his work on transfers, Young Africans SC brought added international attention to the unveiling.
The presentation comes during Manqoba Mngqithi’s tenure as the club’s manager, with his side represented across the new collection. The three-kit release places equal focus on the traditional home colours and the more contrasting away and third designs.
Young Africans SC’s new home, away and third shirts are therefore defined by three separate colour combinations: green with yellow and blue details, golden yellow with brown touches, and black with gold accents. GSM is the sponsor responsible for producing the collection.
The kit unveiling was highlighted alongside other football stories, including a report on Orlando Pirates’ plans to play in a first-class facility in tropical Mauritius and Roc Nation’s launch of a new youth football initiative in Cape Town.
