Fabrice N’Sakala has found a revival in his career since joining Alanyaspor, following earlier spells at Troyes and a brief stint at Anderlecht. The Congolese international has regained both form and confidence in Turkey, embracing the joy of playing regularly. “It’s going well, I’m finding my feet more and more here in the Süper Lig,” N’Sakala told Walfoot. “My confidence and enjoyment of playing are back, which is the most important thing for me. I lost that at Anderlecht. When you don’t play often, you doubt yourself much more quickly at the slightest mistake. It’s like a sword of Damocles hanging over your head,” he added, highlighting how crucial consistent game time has been for his mental and professional recovery.
At Alanyaspor, N’Sakala has established himself as an undisputed starter, contributing to the club’s strong campaign in the Turkish league, where they currently sit fifth. “We’re having a great season, and we still have five matches to play to secure a European spot,” he said, referring to the Europa League qualification for the fourth-place team. He emphasized the importance of maintaining consistent performances as the season reaches its final stages.
Looking ahead, N’Sakala plans to evaluate his future at the end of the campaign. Despite interest during the winter transfer window from clubs in Germany, France, England, and Belgium, he chose to remain with Alanyaspor to finish the season strongly. “A return to the Pro League? Why not! My friend Polo [Mpoku] wanted me to come to Standard. Even though it’s a very good club, I could never do that out of respect for Anderlecht and its supporters,” he explained, showing loyalty to his former club while keeping his options open for the future.
N’Sakala’s experience underscores the impact that regular playing time can have on a player’s confidence and performance. After a challenging period at Anderlecht, he has rediscovered both his form and enjoyment of the game at Alanyaspor, while helping the club push for a European spot. With the season winding down, the left-back’s focus remains on finishing strongly with his current team before making any decisions about his next move, demonstrating professionalism and ambition as he considers the next chapter in his career.
