Raja Casablanca have continued to strengthen their squad ahead of the new season by announcing the signing of Congolese international midfielder Fabrice Ngoma, marking their third recruitment of the summer transfer window. After already securing the arrivals of Mohsine Moutouali and Salif Coulibaly, the Moroccan giants confirmed on Tuesday that Ngoma will be joining the club following two impressive seasons with AS Vita Club in his hometown of Kinshasa. The deal is expected to run for two years, underlining Raja’s intention to build a competitive and stable core as they target domestic and continental success.

Ngoma is no stranger to Raja Casablanca. In 2018, he faced the Moroccan side with Vita Club in the CAF Confederation Cup final, a dramatic two-legged tie that ultimately went in Raja’s favor. After losing the first leg 4–1 away from home, Raja produced a famous comeback by winning 3–0 in Casablanca to lift the trophy. Ngoma was part of the Vita Club squad that came so close to continental glory, and that experience is likely to have left a strong impression on both the player and his new club. His familiarity with Raja’s style, intensity, and expectations should help him adapt quickly to his new environment.

At Raja, Ngoma will also be reunited with fellow Congolese midfielder Lema Mabidi, a presence that could ease his integration both on and off the pitch. The partnership between the two countrymen is expected to add balance, physicality, and tactical intelligence to Raja’s midfield. Known for his work rate, ball recovery, and ability to link defense with attack, Ngoma brings qualities that fit well with Raja’s traditional emphasis on technical control and fluid movement. His arrival offers the coaching staff additional options in the center of the park, an area considered crucial for competing on multiple fronts.

Raja Casablanca are currently enjoying a strong campaign in the Botola Pro. After 28 matchdays, they sit second in the standings with 52 points, just three behind city rivals Wydad Casablanca, who lead the table with 55 points. With the title race still tight, every reinforcement is seen as a potential difference-maker. By moving early in the market, Raja are signaling their ambition to not only challenge Wydad domestically but also to assemble a squad capable of making a deep run in African competitions next season.

Ngoma arrives from an AS Vita Club side that finished second in the 2018–2019 Congolese league season with 74 points, trailing perennial rivals TP Mazembe, who topped the table with 83 points. During his time at Vita, Ngoma established himself as a reliable and consistent performer, earning international recognition with the DR Congo national team. His experience in high-pressure matches, both domestically and on the continental stage, is expected to prove valuable in Morocco, where expectations at Raja are always high.

With three signings already completed, Raja Casablanca’s transfer business appears well underway. The addition of Fabrice Ngoma represents not only an investment in quality and depth, but also a reminder of the club’s continental ambitions. As preparations intensify, supporters will be eager to see how the Congolese midfielder adapts to the Botola Pro and whether he can play a decisive role in Raja’s pursuit of trophies in the months ahead.
