Fabio Baldé to leave Hamburger SV

Fabio Baldé is expected to leave Hamburger SV in the upcoming summer transfer window, with both the player and club reportedly aligned on a separation.

According to reports, the Bundesliga side have decided to place the 20-year-old on the transfer list despite his long-term contract running until 2029, signalling a clear intention to restructure their squad.

Baldé’s season has fallen short of expectations, with the winger making just 14 league appearances and accumulating 402 minutes of action. He failed to register a goal, contributing only one assist in a campaign disrupted by inconsistency and limited impact.

His struggles are particularly notable given the lack of strong competition for the left-wing position, a factor that initially raised expectations at the club. However, his form and fitness issues have seen him fall out of favour, and he has not featured in the squad since the heavy defeat to VfB Stuttgart.

Earlier in the season, HSV reportedly rejected a €5 million offer from RSC Anderlecht during the winter transfer window, hoping the player would develop further before making a decision on his future.

However, that stance appears to have shifted, with the club now open to letting him leave. Interest is believed to be growing from teams in Portugal and Italy, although no formal negotiations have yet begun.

With the summer window approaching, Baldé’s future is expected to be one of the key talking points at Hamburger SV as they prepare for potential squad changes ahead of the new season.
