F. Dusseldorf target SV Elversberg winger Filimon Gerezgiher

Eritrean-German winger Filimon Gerezgiher is being linked with a move from SV Elversberg to F. Dusseldorf, with the proposed transfer rated at 96% but not yet confirmed.

The 26-year-old has not made an appearance for Elversberg in the Bundesliga or DFB-Pokal this season. He is contracted to the club until 30 June 2027, meaning any move would require an agreement between the two clubs rather than a free transfer.

Gerezgiher returned to Elversberg at the end of June after spending the 2025-26 season on loan at FC Emmen. He initially joined Elversberg from SGV Freiberg on 1 July 2024, arriving on a free transfer.

The left winger’s current market value is listed at €250,000. A move to F. Dusseldorf would take him from a Bundesliga club to a side competing in the 3. Liga.

Gerezgiher was born in Stuttgart on 4 July 2000 and has represented both Eritrea and Germany as his listed nationalities. His earlier senior career included spells with Stuttgart II, SGV Freiberg and FSV Bissingen before his move to Elversberg.

No agreement has been confirmed, but the rumour marks a possible change in direction for a player who remains under contract with Elversberg for another season.
