Eyupspor complete move for France and Algeria winger Bilal Boutobba
Bilal Boutobba, the French-Algerian right winger, has joined Turkish Super Lig club Eyupspor from Saudi Arabian side Al-Najma.
The 27-year-old makes the move after one season with Al-Najma in Saudi Arabia’s First Division League. The transfer was completed on 5 August 2026, with Boutobba returning to Turkey after previously playing in the Super Lig for Hatayspor.
Boutobba made 28 Super Lig appearances for Hatayspor, scoring 11 goals and providing three assists. He also registered four assists and one goal in two Turkish Cup appearances during his time at the club.
His arrival gives Eyupspor a left-footed option on the right side of attack. Boutobba stands 1.72m tall and has played primarily as a right winger throughout his career, while also gaining experience in France, Spain and Saudi Arabia.
Before moving to Al-Najma, Boutobba spent the 2024-25 campaign with Hatayspor after joining from French club Clermont Foot. He made 33 Ligue 1 appearances for Clermont, scoring once and recording one assist.
Boutobba joined Clermont from Chamois Niort in July 2023 on a free transfer. He had previously spent three seasons with Niort, following another free move from Montpellier in 2020. His career in France also included time with Marseille’s youth and reserve sides before he moved to Sevilla Atletico in 2016.
The winger has made 107 Ligue 2 appearances, scoring 21 goals and supplying 19 assists. He has also played 33 matches in Spain’s second tier with Sevilla Atletico, although he did not score in those appearances.
Boutobba’s honours include winning the European Under-17 Championship with France in 2015. He was also recognised as the best assist provider at Hatayspor during the 2024-25 season, when he recorded four goals in that category.
Eyupspor have now added Boutobba to their squad ahead of his return to Turkey’s top flight. The move from Al-Najma to Eyupspor was completed on 5 August 2026.
