Khaled El-Darandaly, Vice President of the Egyptian Football Association, disclosed details of the contract signings appointing the renowned footballing duo, Hossam and Ibrahim Hassan, as the head coaches of Egypt’s national football team.
El-Darandaly revealed during a telephone interview on the program “In the Evening with Qasawa,” hosted by the esteemed journalist Qasawa El-Khalaly on CBC channel, that Hossam Hassan’s contract with the Egyptian national team extends until the year 2026.
He emphasized, “We have tremendous confidence in Hossam Hassan and his potential for success with the Egyptian national team, and we will provide him with all necessary support to achieve the team’s goals in the coming period.”
Moreover, El-Darandaly disclosed that during the negotiations, Hossam Hassan declined to discuss any personal terms out of respect for Egypt, stating, “I have never filed a lawsuit against my country.
I am contracting with Egypt.”
Regarding Hossam Hassan’s salary with the Egyptian national team, El-Darandaly stated that it is reasonable and clarified that no conditions were imposed in his contract.
He highlighted, “Ibrahim and Hossam are legends of Egyptian football, and there are reassuring signs in contracting with them.”
El-Darandaly also unveiled the exceptional relationship between Hossam Hassan and Mohamed Salah, affirming that it is characterized by mutual respect and admiration due to Hossam’s illustrious history in Egyptian football.
He further emphasized Hossam Hassan’s significant energy and desire to steer the national team in the right direction in the upcoming period.
