The Togolese national football team, the Sparrowhawks, is set to welcome Jonathan Ayité and Serge Gakpé to their squad. While Gakpé’s arrival was expected, Ayité’s inclusion was initially uncertain due to reported injury. However, Ayité himself confirmed that he is feeling better and will be joining the team in Lomé on Wednesday. Additionally, Alaixys Romao is expected to join the squad on Thursday after receiving permission from the Togolese Football Federation. The Sparrowhawks are preparing for the 2014 World Cup qualifiers against Cameroon and are currently in Equatorial Guinea for a friendly match.
