According to available information, Zamalek is reportedly interested in recruiting the Togolese striker Placca Fessou Mèmè from Agaza (1st division). The Egyptian club is said to be prepared to pay compensation of 100,000 euros for the young player, covering a two-year contract. Placca gained recognition as the top scorer in the 2012-2013 season with 19 goals, earning a spot in the Togo national team for the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations (CAN), where he left a positive impression despite limited playing time.
Zamalek aims to swiftly finalize the deal to register the player for the African Champions League. The club, currently lacking a prolific scorer since the departure of Burkinabé Abdoulaye Cissé, is determined to address this gap.
However, it’s noted that Zamalek faces competition for Placca’s signature. Belgian, Swiss, and French teams are also reportedly monitoring the 19-year-old striker, who has already scored seven goals in the current season after 13 matchdays. The interest from multiple clubs underlines Placca’s growing reputation and potential as a promising talent.
