Former Ghana international Matthew Amoah has returned to NAC Breda, joining the club’s technical team alongside former striker Anouar Diba. The duo will be responsible for coaching and developing the team’s attacking unit.

Confirming the appointment of the pair, NAC Breda technical director Peter Maas said: “With the addition of Matthew and Anouar, we’re adding specific expertise to the current coaching staff.

“Both have been doing excellent and focused work with our youth players at the NAC Youth Academy for quite some time, and they’ll now do the same with the first team.”

The Dutch side is struggling in the Eredivisie, currently sitting at the bottom of the table with 13 points from 17 matches in the 2025/26 season.

Amoah enjoyed a prolific stint at NAC between 2007 and 2011, scoring 57 goals and providing 12 assists in over 130 appearances.

Diba, meanwhile, played more than 120 matches for the club from 2002 to 2007, contributing 20 goals and 20 assists.

Amoah also featured for Ghana at the 2006 World Cup in Germany and earned 45 caps for the Black Stars, scoring 12 goals.

At NAC, he will collaborate with former Ghana captain Andre Ayew, who joined the squad until the end of the season.
