Former Ghana assistant coach, George Boateng, has shed light on the highs and lows of his professional football career.

According to him, although he had a tough time starting at Feyenoord, he had the most enjoyable time in his playing career when he was at Middlesbrough in England.

“For me, the most enjoyable time was clearly my time at Middlesbrough when we had players like Juninho, Southgate, Hasselbank, Viduka, and a lot of other very strong players.

“We won the Carabao Cup, played the UEFA Cup final and with the fans over there at the stadium at the time it was like a dream come true. So yeah that is definitely the best club where I had my most successful period,” George Boateng told Tribalfootball.com in an interview.

During his playing days, George Boateng also played for several clubs including Aston Villa, Hull City, and Coventry City.

After serving as an assistant coach for a number of teams, George Boateng is now keen on landing a role as head coach in his next job.
