Togolese international Evra Agbagno has opted to remain with ASO Chlef despite interest from several clubs in recent months. The 24-year-old striker, who had an impressive season in the Algerian championship, finishing as the second-highest scorer, has outlined his ambitions for the upcoming season.

In an interview with 228foot, Agbagno reflected on his successful first season at the Algerian club and the factors that contributed to his performance.

“What made my last season easier was the work and concentration in front of goal. After the team training sessions, I trained individually in front of goal to try to improve my goal sense,” he shared.

“What also helped me a lot were my teammates who accompanied me throughout the season.”

Agbagno also credited his manager for his development, highlighting the guidance he received. “I thank my manager a lot. He is the one who guided me a lot.

He is a former player of this team, so he gave me a lot of advice on how to position myself, since he was also a striker. He knew the country a lot and so he made it easier for me to integrate,” Agbagno explained.

Looking ahead to the 2024/25 season, Agbagno has set his sights on becoming the top scorer in the league.

“It’s a new season that’s coming up fast. It’s always a pleasure for a striker to score goals. So, for this new season, I would like to score as many goals, help my team move forward, stand out from the crowd, and why not be the top scorer this season, that’s all I want,” he said.

Agbagno’s commitment to ASO Chlef remains strong, as he is under contract with the club until June 2026.

His impressive performances have not gone unnoticed, with interest reportedly coming from clubs such as Al Hilal Omdurman, MC Alger, and Pyramids FC in recent months.

However, Agbagno has chosen to focus on his current club, where he aims to build on his success and achieve even greater heights in the coming season.

With his sights set on personal and team success, Evra Agbagno is poised to make a significant impact in the upcoming season, and his decision to stay with ASO Chlef suggests that the club can count on his goal-scoring prowess as they navigate the challenges ahead.
