The 13th edition of the U20 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON)—now referred to as the CHAN U20 (African Nations Championship U20)—kicks off this Sunday in Senegal. Eight of the continent’s best youth national teams will battle it out not only for the trophy but also for a place at the FIFA U-20 World Cup in New Zealand, as the top four (semi-finalists) qualify.
