“Every match is a must-win” - Mohammed Kudus opens up on pressure at Tottenham

Ghana international Mohammed Kudus has revealed that playing for Tottenham Hotspur comes with the constant pressure to win, whether at home or on the road.

The 25-year-old Black Stars star joined Spurs last summer in a high-profile transfer from West Ham United. While he is yet to hit peak form, Kudus has already made a mark in the English Premier League, scoring two goals and providing five assists, joint-highest in the division.

Speaking about his experience at Tottenham, Kudus acknowledged the challenges of performing for a top club.

“Home or away, there’s pressure to win every game, especially playing for a big club like Tottenham. So, the pressure has always been there, but definitely we want to do our best to win more games, whether at home or away, but more importantly, especially in front of our home fans.

“Definitely, this Saturday was a good boost, and thanks to the fans for their support, because we are all in this together. So, we just need to build on that and then kill it tomorrow as well,” he added during a pre-match press conference ahead of Tottenham’s UEFA Champions League clash against Slavia Prague.

Tottenham Hotspur will host Slavia Prague on Tuesday, with the fixture set to kick off at 8 pm.
