Everton is reportedly eyeing Austrian-Ghanaian defender Kevin Danso for a potential January move, as the Toffees look to bolster their defensive options.
The 26-year-old, who previously spent time in England during his developmental years, is no stranger to Premier League football, having featured on loan with Southampton during the 2019-20 season.
Danso has been a standout performer for RC Lens in Ligue 1, showcasing consistency over the past two campaigns. Though his anticipated summer move to AS Roma collapsed due to a flagged cardiac issue during his medical, subsequent investigations cleared him of any health concerns, allowing him to resume his career.
With Lens facing financial challenges, the club is open to selling Danso, who is attracting attention from multiple Premier League clubs. Wolverhampton Wanderers and Southampton have already expressed interest, per reports from Sky Sports and L’Équipe.
Adding to the competition, Mohamed Toubache-Ter claims Everton have now joined the race. With Danso’s blend of experience and defensive solidity, he could prove a valuable asset for the Merseyside club.
