Senegalese international Iliman N’Diaye could be on his way back to England, just a year after his departure. Following a challenging first season at Olympique de Marseille, the 24-year-old attacking midfielder has captured the interest of Everton, who have already made an initial offer to bring the Rouen native to Goodison Park.

The exact amount of Everton’s offer remains undisclosed by both the Premier League club and Marseille.

However, N’Diaye, who netted four goals and provided five assists in 46 appearances for Marseille this season, is valued at €15 million according to Transfermarkt—€2 million less than the fee Marseille paid to secure his services in August 2023.

Everton’s renewed interest in N’Diaye comes as no surprise.

The Toffees have been keen on the player since his stellar performance at Sheffield United during the 2022-2023 season, where he scored 14 goals and registered 10 assists in 46 Championship matches.

Despite their interest last summer, N’Diaye chose to join OM, his “favorite club.”

Despite a mixed season at Marseille, Everton’s persistence remains undeterred.

Their latest offer signifies continued belief in N’Diaye’s potential to strengthen their squad, which finished 15th in the Premier League for the 2023-2024 season.

Although Everton made an attempt to sign N’Diaye during the winter transfer window, the Senegalese international, whose contract with Marseille runs until 2028, declined their offer.

N’Diaye now faces a significant decision: remain at OM and strive for greater success or seize the opportunity to return to England with Everton.

The uncertainty surrounding Marseille’s managerial future, with Roberto de Zerbi potentially taking the helm, adds another layer of complexity to his decision.

Whether de Zerbi would view N’Diaye as a pivotal part of his strategy remains unknown.

This decision is pivotal for N’Diaye’s career. The player, known for his high quality and versatility, must weigh his options carefully.

Staying at Marseille could offer a chance to establish himself further, especially under new management.

Conversely, a move to Everton could provide a fresh start and a chance to shine in the Premier League.

N’Diaye’s choice will undoubtedly be influenced by the guidance and advice of his close advisors.

His career trajectory hangs in the balance as negotiations continue. The coming days will be crucial in determining the next chapter for Iliman N’Diaye, as both clubs await his decision.
