André Ayew: Everton Eyes January Move as OM Contract Nears End
Will André Ayew leave Marseille this winter? The question remains open, but time is ticking. The Ghanaian international’s contract with Olympique de Marseille expires in June, and several clubs are ready to pounce — including Everton.
According to the Daily Express, the Premier League side is seriously interested in securing Ayew’s services as early as January, hoping to avoid a bidding war in the summer. The report also suggests Ayew himself is keen to resolve his future before the Africa Cup of Nations, so he can focus fully on OM’s season.
However, a contract extension at Marseille seems unlikely. Club president Vincent Labrune is reportedly reluctant to match Ayew’s salary demands, which no longer align with the club’s financial strategy.
With no renewal in sight, a winter transfer could be the most beneficial outcome for all parties — and Everton may just be the first to move.
