The second edition of African Football Night (NFA) is set to take place in Abidjan this Thursday. Organized to celebrate the talents and skills of African football, the event aims to promote football players, engage them in humanitarian and societal actions, encourage exchanges between players, and highlight Africa’s representation at the World Cup.
Promoted by Yves Sawadogo, this year’s event will feature former Cameroonian international Joseph Antoine Bell as the guest of honor and Patrick Mboma as the president of the jury. Other notable football personalities attending include Pape Diouf, Kalusha Bwalya, Stephen Keshi, and Hervé Renard, among others.
Issa Hayatou, the president of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), is also expected to attend. The event will recognize various achievements with awards such as Best African Footballer at European Level, Best African Player, Best African Sportsman, Best Sports Press, Best Social Action in Favor of Populations, and Best African Scorers in European Competitions. Special prizes will also be awarded to Issa Hayatou (CAF), Yaya Touré, Samuel Eto’o, Abedi Pélé, and Danny Jordan.
