In central Warsaw, 120 Italian supporters were arrested by the police on Thursday. They were heading to watch the Legia Warsaw vs. Lazio Rome Europa League match. The supporters were reportedly aggressive, targeting the police with stones and bottles. Some even wore balaclavas, prompting the police to intervene. The supporters were surrounded by riot police, handcuffed, and immobilized on the ground. Earlier, on Wednesday evening, 17 Lazio supporters were arrested by the Polish police following a brawl outside a Warsaw hotel.Lazio has faced disciplinary actions, including a closed ultras’ stand and playing a Europa League match behind closed doors due to incidents involving their supporters. Legia Warsaw supporters have also faced sanctions for violent behavior.
