Goals from Bafé Gomis in the 63rd minute and Ferri in the 66th minute contributed to Lyon achieving their objective. Despite facing challenges in the initial phase of the competition, Lyon, considered favorites to come out in first place in Group I, maintained their position.
Bafé Gomis, the scorer in this victory against Portugal, now has a total of 16 goals in the European Cup with Lyon. Expressing his satisfaction with the result, Gomis praised the appetite of his teammates and emphasized the importance of achieving a positive outcome even with a reshuffled team. Gomis stated, “It was important to come here to achieve a result even with a reshuffled team. We knew we had the means.
