During an appearance on the Canal Football Club set in Paris, Cameroonian striker Samuel Eto’o took the opportunity to address some of his detractors, including midfielder Alexandre Song. The two players have had strained relations, stemming from the 2010 World Cup when Eto’o was given the captain’s armband, a move that didn’t sit well with Song. Eto’o, known for his straightforwardness, commented, “We are not going to compare ourselves. I am among the best players in the world. Song is not even among the best players in Cameroon.” This statement is likely to further strain the relationship between the two players.
