Etoile du Sahel has added two familiar faces to their squad as they gear up for the new season.
The Tunisian giants announced the return of winger Mohamed Dhaoui, widely known as Cristo, and the signing of experienced goalkeeper Sabri Ben Hessen.
Cristo, who came through the Etoile ranks, left for Egyptian powerhouse Al Ahly during the 2023 winter transfer window. After limited opportunities there, he was loaned to fellow Tunisian side Sfaxien for a full season, where he showed promise with four goals and four assists in 31 appearances across all competitions.
With his contract at Al Ahly now expired, Etoile moved quickly to bring him back home on a free transfer, hoping he can inject new energy into their attack. Alongside him, the club also secured the services of Ben Hessen, adding depth and stability between the posts.
“The club announced on its official accounts the completion of the signings, which will strengthen its ranks for the upcoming season.”
Cristo returns with unfinished business, and Etoile is counting on him to help lead their push forward.
